A Redditor going by the name RaiNnIngRaPteRz posted a piece of fan art that their girlfriend drew of Mass Effect’s Mordin as a salamander. The work shows Mordin wearing the same outfit seen in the games while brandishing a very large smile. According to RaiNnIngRaPteRz, the art was inspired by the fact that Salarians ate bugs at one point, leading to the user’s girlfriend drawing Mordin as an amphibian. It is an interesting take on the character and is a cute piece featuring one of Mass Effect’s standout cast members.
The work that RaiNnIngRaPteRz uploaded has gained a bit of a fan base, with the drawing sitting at over 1,000 upvotes. A number of fans find the work to be adorable, with one user stating that the piece should be a sticker. A commenter mentioned that it is hard for them to put into words how much they love the drawing and asked RaiNnIngRaPteRz to post any other Mass Effect artwork that their girlfriend feels inspired to make, to which the Redditor agreed.
Mordin is not the only popular character from BioWare’s RPG series to have great art dedicated to them. A Reddit user known as Togira21 posted an image of a cross-stitching that they made featuring Tali from Mass Effect. According to the artist, it took them 177 hours over six months to complete the piece. For the pattern, Togira21 stated that they used a mobile app that creates a pattern from an image and then gives the exact colors to use. The user mentioned that they found the project to be relaxing and that they had already done a cross-stitch of Mass Effect’s Garrus Vakarian. The cross-stitch of Tali is both pretty and relaxing, capturing the character in a beautiful light.
