The artist responsible for this crossover goes by Em1liath on Reddit, and that name will likely be familiar to some members of the Overwatch community. This is because they have drawn a number of Overwatch heroes in different cartoon styles. Roadhog has been drawn into the Avatar universe, Sombra has become a Teen Titan, and Moira has been made to look like Invader Zim thanks to this talented Overwatch fan. As such, Echo being brought into Adventure Time is par for the course.

In this Overwatch art, Echo looks incredibly happy, which is understandable since she is depicted in the colorful land of Ooo. While bright green grass and an orange sky make up the background, it is not too surprising that Echo herself is the star of the show. The artist has done an excellent job of bringing her robotic design to a fantasy world, as Echo’s head has been given a fiery blue top that is somewhat reminiscent of her Summer Games skin. Her arms, legs, and wings are disconnected, while her body looks like a dress.
While this art piece would have been cute on its own, it is taken to the next level through the addition of BMO. The adorable companion of Finn and Jake can be standing in the corner of the image holding flowers, clearly planning to give them to Echo as a gift. Seeing the two robots interact would surely be a delight, so it was a smart idea on Em1lianth’s part to bring them together through this special art piece.
Alongside over 4,700 upvotes, the post received several comments from the Overwatch community. While there was plenty of praise for the artist and this concept, others suggested ways to continue the Adventure Time crossover. Alongside a request to make BMO look like Bastion, an off-the-wall suggestion came from Baconlessness, who wanted to see Tracer transformed into Treetrunks. A more fitting idea came from IAMA_KOOK_AMA, who wanted to see the insane Junkrat get a makeover so that he resembled Lemongrab. Regardless of whether these suggestions are taken into consideration, Echo clearly fits well into Adventure Time’s art style.
It will be interesting to see how fans feel about Echo from a gameplay perspective once Overwatch 2’s beta releases, as she may or may not struggle to keep up in the switch to 5v5. Regardless, she will always have fans, ensuring that neat art based on Echo continues to be made.
Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
